Livingston Sunrise Rotary Foundation presents this years Heart in the Tropics (aka Midnight in the Tropics)
Saturday, February 15, 2014
6:00p.m to 11:00p.m
Cleary University Johnson Center, Howell, MI

The Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club continued it’s tradition of making Winter a time to focus on special projects for youth. Last year the Club held their 3rd Annual Midnight in the Tropics fundraiser gala. Cleary University’s Johnson Center was transformed into a tropical paradise and the community came out for an overwhelmingly successful event. And, folks are already looking forward to this ‘4th Annual’ event with great excitement known this year as Heart In the Tropics.

Enjoy an escape from the cold weather to the tropics with the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Foundation. See first-hand the impact of contributing towards local, community-driven causes. Partake in the Livingston Sunrise Rotary efforts while dining and enjoying an evening of dance and laughter. You may even find yourself coming home with some extra gifts from the auction, all the while knowing your helping make our community a better place.

The most important draw of support came from the fundraiser’s main focus, youth, both local and international. Last year this event focus netted over $32,000 that went back directly into youth projects. The funds raised this year will go to help The Connection Youth Services in Howell, Reaching Higher in Brighton and Livingston Sunrise Rotary Foundation. The Connection Youth Services helps teens and families in crisis, by providing emergency assistance, housing, employment, and education just to name a few. Reaching Higher gives middle and high school students the power of hope and tools to cope. The Livingston Sunrise Rotary Foundation supports many causes such as the 4th of July Parade, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Salvation Army, Gleaners and many more.
